David Hockney is an artist and photographer from England, David has an important roll in the pop art scene of the 1960s and is also considered one of Britons most influential artists of the 20th century, David was born on the 9th Holy 1937 and is 81 years old and studied at Bradford college 1953-1957.This artwork belongs to the cubism movement, this is a movement found in the early 20th century art movement which brought European painting and sculpture towards the 20th century more modern art, cubism is known for dividing photographs and art into squares/cubes across a page to create a full image e.g taking images of a chair from all angles and then taking them into photoshop and creating squares so you can see the chair from all ages but in one photograph.The shot types in this image are almost all at medium close up and a few at close up, angles being: high angles, low angles and the medium shot.
